"12-31-69" is another example where a couple different undated things have been dumped in that date....

Anyway, the Mars Hotel sessions were March/April '74. This tape has been out for decades (sounds like it came from someone's old cassette).
My question is, what is Crazy Fingers doing in there?

The Wake of the Flood outtakes (from August '73) are pretty interesting too. Then there's also Anthem outtakes (Oct/Nov '67) and Aoxomoxoa outtakes (late '68/early '69), and a few Workingman's outtakes (Jan '70), and even some studio '66 rehearsals (June '66).
This leaves American Beauty as the one early Dead album without circulating outtakes. (Their first album has a few, but they aren't on the Archive.)

http://www.archive.org/details/gd67-10-20.studio.poynton-sirmick.85631.sbeok.flac16 (mostly the same session as above, but different source)
http://www.archive.org/details/gd67-11-14.sbd.unknown.17417.sbefail.shnf (Dark Star & Born X-Eyed)
http://www.archive.org/details/gd1968-11-06.StudioRehearsals.GEMS.82393.flac16 (11-6-68 Dark Star>Stephen>Eleven rehearsal - I think this is the same as the "12-31-68" file)
http://www.archive.org/details/gd69-xx-xx.sbd.dodd.16760.sbeok.shnf (Aox)
http://www.archive.org/details/gd70-workingmans-outtakes.sbd.7319.sbeok.shnf (Workingmans - I think the Tastebud is from 1966)
http://www.archive.org/details/gd73-08-xx.sbd-wotf.davef.2522.sbeok.shnf (Wake)
From 1975 there are too many rehearsals to list!

http://www.archive.org/details/gd78-08-XX.sbd.wiley.11692.sbeok.shnf (Shakedown, ugh)
And so on....

Awesome as always, LIA. But let's not forget the "Marathon Esau Rehearsal," just because it's somewhat unique...

Thanks! There are some ony our list that are new to me. I love to catch the glimpses of them in private (sort of) that these rehearsals and outtakes provide.
